From the Editor's Desk
All in all a quiet week from the front. For once, I have very little to say, and I can accept that. I would like to request that if you want your letters to the Editor to be printed, be sure to include your name. Anonymous letters will no longer be published.
General News
Fearless Pride is no more! GGrum, the last remaining Fearless Pride pilot has been declared missing and as such all materials have been forfeited.
Sadist Faction were the victims of a counterattack on their Quince operations. After weeks of skirmishes in the WPR, the action moved to the SPR, where Federation forces removed every SF building in Quince. We regret to also report that in the battles Kavalion took multiple e-pod trips. The Empire will prevail, but this will be a long, bloody and expensive war.
Ruby Legion fighters have been ripping up Waayan as well, especially Aurix. Good work by Ruby Legion.
The press team of The Tiacken Tribune say they will be back on track and better than ever after not printing issues for weeks. Let's hope they get their act together. It was a quality paper and I hope it can return to glory.
The Keldon Report - by Frozen
This was a very unspectacular week in Keldon. Either the Federation is planning something big, or they just got tired of dying. So, since I didn't have any targets to shoot at, I decided to do an interview and find out about a quite new, but interesting alliance. I did an interview with ScorpioVI, leader of the Blue Sun Corporation. I asked him if he wanted to do an interview and he accepted, so we started right away:
Frozen: To start with, tell me something about the Blue Sun Corporation. I know you have your alliance page for this, but I would like to hear a few words about it from you...
ScorpioVI: The Blue Sun Corporation is composed of merchants and traders who have banded together in the interest of pooling together resources. The founding members all know each other from our liquor-fueled, all-night Tall Card sessions in the dingy back-alleys of Skara.
Frozen: So you are all good friends. That's probably very good for the alliance. How did you came up with the idea of creating the Alliance? And who had the idea?
ScorpioVI: Primarily, it was myself who came up with the idea. A brainstorm that resulted from running out of fuel and drifting helplessly for hours in the Inliaa sector. As a novice trader, I longed for a structured trade system, and it occurred to me who better to create that structure with than the same people I lose my money to playing Tall Card every Friday night.
Frozen: And has money making become easier since you created the Alliance?
ScorpioVI: We've had our fair share of setbacks, a few million credits lost in failed ventures that we're just now recovering from. Also, we've had to hire new personnel these last few weeks and the related expenses that comes with that. Not to mention the start-up costs of our two starbases (The Blue Sun and Londinium). However, we're starting to see some results from our initial investments, and I can say that our financial future is looking very bright indeed.
Frozen: With two Starbases the Blue Sun Corporation has quite good potential, I'm sure we will hear much from it in the future... One of the things that I am interested in is how much does the alliance have influence in the economic of the Empire, mainly Keldon? And what are your plans for the future of the Empire?
ScorpioVI: Well, we are relatively small compared to the other established alliances in the Keldon Core such as Conglomo and Freeholders Alliance, but we do our fair share of trading and supply runs particularly in the sectors surrounding Urlafa. And we hope to be able to supply Northern Keldon pilots with discounted equipment and ships through our starbases in the near future.
As for the Empire. We live to serve the Emperor's wishes. We've been working together with the Imperial Guard and the Imperial Paladins in securing Northern Keldon, and that's only the beginning of our commitment to the Empire.
Frozen: Sounds like good news for the Empire. It has always had the best alliances on it's side, and the Blue Sun Corporation seems to be a proof of that. One of the things that are also interesting is your stance to illegals... What do you think about them, ever thought about producing?
ScorpioVI: Not only have we thought of it, we've dabbled with it, briefly. In our naivete we decided to experiment with drug production, purely as a business venture. We didn't like the personnel and material loss involved in that industry and have since abandoned it and have no plans to pursue it in the future.
Frozen: I'm glad to her that...
Well, thanks for your time. I wish good luck to you and your friends and look forward to our future cooperation in making the Empire a better place to live.
ScorpioVI: Thank you for the opportunity! For the emperor!
