From the Editor's Desk
War is over, what could be better? For me the timing was bad as I had just started my only little offensive in Rashkir space. Independent auditors determined that it was probably someone other than the Federation that caused Usube's problems. Good work to all Imperial Fighters and traders that supported the war effort.
General News
Usube has been terraformed using resources from both the Federation and Empire. Proof that the two factions can work together. It is now again an M class planet.
A Keldon Union Cluster has been discovered. Explorers and profiteers alike have all rushed to the area to stake their claims, make their names and populate this new area of space.
The computer firm of Datatech Advanced Research Technology introduced a new enhancement to their combat analysis computers, allowing the data to be sent through communication channels to other pilots who may benefit from the data.
Slave trader's appear to be losing the war with legitimate pilots. In recent days they have appeared weaker than they used to be.
Kavalion of Sadist Faction has caused an ongoing skirmish by trying to erect a Starbase on the spot previously occupied by Justice, which was owned by the Federal Navy. With tensions already running high from the war, the conflict, which normally would only involve alliances, has escalated into almost a resumption of hostilities. Ruby Legion has been helping Sadist Faction protect the trade outpost while workers complete construction, and allies of the Federal Navy have been trying to remove it. Sadist Faction and Sindarin Trade Society, who own the other Starbase in Grefaho, Gondolin, had many heated exchanges during the war and many expect this new arrangement to go badly.
The unfortunate part of all this is the rising tensions and the steadfastness of some Federal pilots that no Empire base should be allowed. The Neutral Zone is a home to all, and any conflicts should not involve faction politics. Federation pilots are concerned of a reload point for Empire missiles very close to Federation space. Being just one jump from the Fed passes. Only time will tell the outcome of this conflict.
Bounty Hunting appears to be on the rise in the days since the war has ended. It is presumed this is because many seasoned fighter pilots are not ready to give up their bloodlust and go back to fighting the monsters that terrify innocents in space. Maybe some of the ancient 5000 credit bounties will be collected finally.
The Mooninites have gained a new Starbase. Elona R Hughes, long suspected as a Mooninite spy in Red Cell, left the base Orionstown to Kryo, and immediately prior had launched attacks on the Neptus GW base in the same sector, removing a habitat ring. She then retired to an unknown corner of space. This base is in a prominent position, right next to the hunting grounds of some of the Z series robots released (accidentally) by the Federation. Have the Mooninites changed their face as they have stated. Only time will tell, but this reporter doubts it very much.
The Keldon Report - by Frozen
I know most of you are familiar with this but I still want to say it: THE WAR IS OVER!!! Ah, that sounds so go0d... The fighters in Keldon finally have some time to relax, while the traders on the other hand, are already starting to rebuild what they lost during the war. Overall I think the defenders did a good job defending Keldon. While some Federation pilots managed to enter Keldon and destroy some building most of them were held back by The Imperial Guard the Paladins and various other fighters. Surely the most successful attack on Keldon during the war was by Pixx and his friends.
Some Federation fighters might not be happy about the end of the war and might still attack. If such pilots are sighted they should immediately be reported to the Paladins. Any act of egression against Imperial pilots is piracy and such pilots will get foes listed by the Paladins and will have to face the consequences.
